Mosaic of Minds
Mosaic of Minds is an initiative committed to empowering youth workers with innovative approaches to engage marginalized youth, combat racism and promote diversity. Through collaborative innovation and lived experiences, we work towards an inclusive society where every voice is valued and heard. We strive to create an environment where marginalized voices are heard and valued and where everyone – regardless of their background – has equal access to knowledge, opportunities and support.
Our vision is a world where every voice counts, and no one is left behind. Mosaic of Minds inspires an ongoing dialog for a more empathetic, inclusive Europe, making a concrete contribution to social change. We turn this vision into reality by connecting people, breaking down prejudices and celebrating diversity. In doing so, we strengthen the connections between youth workers and young people.
Some of the pillars of our strategy are:
Research and Insights – exploring challenges in engaging young people to understand the barriers marginalized youth face.
Sharing real-life stories that humanize the impact of racism and promote empathy. By prioritizing trust, sensitivity and non-verbal communication, we help young people tell their stories in a way that feels natural and empowering.
Provide interactive workshops that create collaborative spaces where youth workers and marginalized youth can learn and innovate together.
Goals and results:
- Community knowledge sharing – connecting partner organizations and networks to share best practice and tackle prejudice.
- Empowering youth workers – providing skills and confidence to effectively engage marginalized youth.
- Innovative tools and methods – offering creative, practical strategies to prevent racism and intolerance.
- Non-formal learning materials – developing toolboxes, activities and educational content to promote inclusion.
- Humanizing the issue – using books, websites and videos to amplify the voices and experiences of marginalized individuals.
- Fostering community building – promoting ongoing dialog and collaboration for lasting change.
Many marginalized youth persons face barriers that prevent them from fully participating in programs designed for them. Too often, traditional initiatives take a top-down approach that is framed from an adult perspective and can unintentionally widen the gap. We advocate for a bottom-up approach that is based on the real experiences of marginalized youth and ensures that solutions are relevant, inclusive and effective.
We pave the way for equality and equal opportunities because we believe that diversity is a strength and that tackling racism is essential to building a just society.
